The scholarship helped me in my first year at UWI. I went through the first semester without a PC and some needed textbooks. The scholarship allowed me to purchase a laptop and those textbooks. I am forever grateful for this scholarship as it really made me more comfortable at university. I am still using the laptop to help me with my job and other advanced studies. The road to becoming an attorney was very difficult due to significant financial challenges posed by cost of study for the bachelor’s degree and Norman Manley Law School. Had it not been for the Karen Peart Foundation Scholarship, I would not have been able to complete my studies and be here practising in the profession of my dreams. I must commend the KPF for the indelible mark that it has placed on my life and the lives of so many other beneficiaries. I received this scholarship at a pivotal time in my life when my family had limited options for financing my tertiary education.
